But short wave radiation (light) is converterted to long wave radiation(heat) upon striking hard dark objects in our atmosphere. These three-atommolecules are relatively opaque to long-wave radiation (heat) and trap the heat.This creates a "Greenhouse Effect" and may cause chaotic terrestrial climate imbalances.
